![]() Advanced Feature - Wildcard Searches Use an asterisk (*) to search for results containing anything after the asterisk. For example, searching for "Inter*" would produce "International Business Machines", "Internacine Rotarians Inc." and "Intertech". You can put the asterisk between two terms to search for results including anything between the two terms. For example, searching for "International*Machines" would produce "International Business Machines", "International Donut Machines" and "Internationalisto Machinesto". You can also place the asterisk at the beginning to search for anything ending with the term entered. For example, searching for "*mach" would produce "International Business Machines", Package Machinery Co" and "Macheezmo Mouse Restaurants Inc". To allow for matching any single character, use the ? as the wildcard character. For example, searching for "Intergra? Group" would produce "Intergraf Group PLC", "Intergral Group Co" and "Intergrax Group Inc". To limit the wildcard to a set of characters, use the () to enclose the characters you want to search for. For example, searching for "M(ia)nor Industries" would produce "Manor Industries Inc" and "Minor Industries Co". |
